Alexander Vittorio Papsch was born on the 27 th of April in 1980 in Lienz/Austria. His father, Siegfried is a civil engineer, while his mother, Elisabeth Maria Olga (called Lilly), is a teacher. He has one brother, Felix, older than himself and he is a physician. Alex got influenced through his father's hobby which was a light projectionist in one of the biggest cinemas in Austria .

At the age of three Alex got fascinated by the projected film and the technology behind it. At his sixth birthday Alex was wishing him a disco ball and since then his own private light system became bigger and bigger. He always invested his hard worked money in new digital light and at the age of nineteen the light system was big enough for open air concerts. Many open air concerts and events through the whole year followed.

To learn more about the technology Alex decided in the year 1996 to go on the Secondary College for Electronics- Special Training Focus Communications Engineering & Computer techniques in Mödling/. One year later he moved to Secondary College for Electronics- Special Training Focus Telecommunication & Computer techniques in Klagenfurt which he absolved in the year 2001. One day his own digital light technology business which was called Showsystems Papsch became too big for him because he had to handle with big customers and not with the light itself anymore.

At the age of 21 Alex sold his whole system and went to his first world trip and visited Australia , Tasmania and Thailand. After finishing his military service at the mountain infantry in Tirol in Austria he worked for the car industry BMW as a software programmer, programming 3D motion control robotic arms in whole Germany . This job was good for earning money but his heart still belongs to the film and so he started studying at the University of Applied Sciences in Hagenberg/Upper Austria for Mediatechnology and Design.

In the year 2006 he excellent passed the Bachelor of Sciences in Engineering. Alex absolved his internship in New Zealand and he spent eight month travelling and working in the USA , in New Zealand and in China . During his six month working experience in New Zealand , Alex was working at the production house of Visual Appetite and the TV-station Family TV. Alex got involved producing the in-flight program of the Air New Zealand. During this time Alex became totaly changed through God. He became a Christian and got baptised in the Ocean in New Zealand.

In October 2006 Alex started the master degree at the University of Art in Linz Dept. “time based media”.

In autumn 2007 he was studying and teaching at the Kun Shan University of Technology Dept. Motion Picture and Video in the city of Tainan in Taiwan (Rrepublic of China). During this time he get awarded by prominent and well known filmmakers. Alex also teaches in sound design in the Visual Communication Department of the Kun Shan University of Technology. He also is an assistant for digital editing on the nonlinear editing system AVID to help other students.

Right now he is working on a 90 minutes documentary film about New Zealand additional to some other movies from the industry.
